Sponsored by the PAC of GROW, on Monday November 21st GROW Families from Kindergarten to Grade 9 were invited to Scout Island in Williams Lake from 11:30 am until 2:45 pm. Students participated in the following activities:
- 11:30 – 12:00: Arrive, get settled, make name tags, and explore the Nature House.
- 12:00 – 12:30: “Get-to-Know-You Game” followed by bagged lunch provided by the PAC.
- 12:30 – 1:20: K to Grade 3 Explore the World of Bats! Grades 4 to 9 “Learn-Practice-Reflect” on First Aide for Hypothermia.
- 1:20 – 1: 30: Break with snack provided by the PAC
- 1:30 – 2:45: K to Grade 3 Listen to the story about a very special bat called “Stellaluna,” followed by a bat craft and outdoor games. Grades 4 to 9 Explore the World of Raptors!
