GROW Cross Country Ski Trip for Students - Grades K - 9 - Sign-Up Forms

On Tuesday January 24^th, 2023 GROW is sponsoring an event at the Williams Lake Cross-Country Ski Club at Bull Mountain for lessons and fun!  Please note the following details for the event:

• The cost of the lessons and ski equipment (if the students does not have their own equipment) will be covered by GROW.
• All lessons and rental equipment will be supplied by the WLCCSC.  
• Students need to ensure that they have warm clothes (mittens, toque, winter jacket, winter ski pants, winter boots), snacks, and water to drink.  
• Parents must drive their child(ren) to Bull Mountain.
• Parents must accompany their children on the trip with their own ski equipment or rented equipment from the Williams Lake Cross-Country Ski Club.  While all ski lessons and rentals for students is covered by GROW, the cost of the day’s skiing and rental for parents is $15.00, but the PAC will cover this cost for one Parent/Guardian per family.
• The GROW Parent Advisory Committee will be supplying lunch for the event.  
• All students must participate in a lesson on cross country skiing at Bull Mountain by the staff of Bull Mountain.  Lessons will be broken into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced depending upon the student skill level (previous experience).  Lessons will occur for three hours in the morning (9:30 am until 12:00 pm).

As a parent, there are two forms that need to completed and sent back to us by January 16^th, 2023 (please see below).

1. School District Waiver Form (one form for each child in your family).  
2. Williams Lake Cross Country Ski Club Waiver From.

Please drop off the waivers at GROW, mailed to GROW via Canada Post, or scanned and emailed back to Ken, Virginia, or Lacey.

 Agenda of the day is:

1. 9:00 am Students arrive and Students broken into appropriate skill levels and put on their ski equipment
2. 9:30 am - 12:00 pm Students receive lessons (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) from the Bull Mountain Staff
3. 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm Lunch
4. 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm Students broken into skill levels and taken out onto the ski trails
5. 2:30 pm Event concludes
